The First Day

My husband has always contemplated whether he would ride his bike to work. Nothing has ever materialized as he would take Morgan on a bike ride when he got home from work on some days. But as the need to exercise is calling him and his time after work is getting filled up quickly, he decided to bike (or should I say cycle) to work today and hopefully everyday. The distance isn't a problem as his work is only 2.5 miles from our house.

The obstacle for him is not working to much of a sweat as he has to go to meetings and be dressed in business casual. Another minor obstacle is finding a secure place to lock up his bike.

I'm excited as this will kill two birds with one stone- him exercising and the bonus of less gas used (although this wasn't to much of a factor).

So, please give cyclist lots of room if you seem them on the road as that could be Andy and no honking :)

I can't honk if it's Andy? How will I get his attention so I can wave at him? :)

I'm jealous . . . I wish I lived close enough to work to ride a bike . . .

What a great way to save money and get exerice at the same time!

two in one!...Sue and the kids wouldn't want to live by a mine out in the gravel. Shocking

as long as he isn't riding up and down geiger grade, we won't run him over. we are not fans of the cyclists that go up and down our mountain road... they are a serious hazard. but i don't see many of them wearing business casual... so i think he's safe.

Hey, so next week for our gathering, will thursday work okay for you?

Laura- no geiger grade runs for him. Although that would be a great workout. There isn't much of a shoulder on that windy twisty road.

I'm jealous. I want to ride to work. I love riding. Too far though. I just think it's cool to do that. Andy's still a rider in my eyes. Especially since he was one of the guys who got me into it. Well, he showed me a lot at least.

i think andy is pretty awesome. will he be wearing spandex and packing his wrinkle-free dockers in a bag? if so, i will honk when i see him. if not, i will honk when i see him.

Thanks buddies =)

I get enough crap at work and the last thing I need to do is walk through the office in spandex. Plus changing in a toilet stall is creepy.

I think you should go to work in spandex. Tell them it's doctor prescribed. Maybe your dad could write you one.
