Kobayashi Maru

So Andy and I have a no win scenario. Our oldest is in the height of her terrible twos and we would like to know what other people of done with this problem (trusting other kids have done the same thing :) so please give us some feed back all you experienced parents :)

No Win Scenario-

Sweet Pea when she does not want to leave the park or go somewhere she goes limp as a noodle when you try to hold her hand. She collapses on the ground and refuses to go. Mom can't pick her up as she is holding the newest addition of the family and any verbal instructions Sweet Pea doesn't acknowledge and they are met with screaming and crying. We have been doing purposeful swats which hasn't solved the problem hence the no win situation.
Any thoughts?

Free to Move!!

I'm enjoying having no heartburn, able to pick things off the ground without loosing my breath, slouching over, eating pasta/hash browns, and sleeping on my back. I love our baby boy and that he is in front of us, although we had a fun time together the last 9 months.

I also love pain meds and the freedom they let me have. Without them, it would be a different world. God bless the pharmacist and the drugs they deal!! Thank goodness the stay at the hospital was short and sweet, I was asking to leave practically the minute I came out of recovery and thanks to Andy, being at home has been very relaxing. The one who was/is going through withdraws is Sweet Pea. She loves the baby but has had a challenging time realizing Mommy can't pick her up at her whim now. The joys of being an older sister.

Looking at the Big Picture

So no baby yet, but there has been a turn of events that have challenged Andy and I to step back and look at the big picture. It was regards to our original appeal for a vaginal birth after a c-section which was approved but then we discovered what was NOT covered. Not good news especially on one's due date!

So focusing on the big picture. We will hopefully be holding a baby boy in our arms early next week or this weekend. That is the big and best picture :)

So Ready

My official due date is August 13th but man am I ready or what! I've been trying to do alot of walking as I feel more braxton hicks and that makes me think I'm progressing (which I have no idea if I am or not)

Anyways, I'm walking or more accurately waddling across a parking lot that seems never ending to get to my car today. I have Sweet Pea holding my one hand and my hand full of bags and my purse in the other. I see these 2 young men dressed in suits going from car to car. Great, just what I need to be sold something. I was feeling pretty brave and intolerate thanks to my level of discomfort and sweat pouring down my face. The 2 gentlemen say excuse me mam...I respond with a, I don't care what your selling or advertising I'm not interested. I noticed their name tags say something about Church of Jesus Christ..really not interested. One of the guys asks me "what can I do to help you?"

Don't even go there. 1st - I've heard that line before and I know what your trying to do and second do you really want to ask a 9 month pregnant lady that question?....GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME!!!

Lake Tahoe

The Lake really is a jewel that one can come to forget if you have grown up around it.

It's a fun place to just chill and soak up the scenery. Here's some pictures of a day at the lake.

Morgan thought is was so fun to ride "the boat" as it is now called and I was continually watching my back to make sure Andy didn't pull me into the water

The summer is going by really fast. Usually my favorite season is fall but I really want to enjoy each moment in summer cause I know once the cold weather hits....
