Not Soo Hard
So this is kinda've a silly post but I did something today that I have wanted to do for along time and never thought I had the patience for. I blogged awhile back about having an absolute distaste for sewing verging on the edge of hating sewing, but I decided to face my distaste and sew. I asked a friend, who I knew was a good sewer and a teacher and loves aprons if she would help me...
Well finished product, I made...I...I...I...made an apron!!! and managed not to smash the sewing machine with a hammer or walk out of the room in complete distaste. I know this is no big deal for most but for me I've been so intimidated with sewing that it's amazing to myself that I sewed something all by myself (with the help of Shontell)
-Thanks Shontell

how fun! homemade things are the best
Let's see a picture of the finished project! Great job, Erica!
I wish I could sew. I am intimidated by the thought of learning to sew. Thanks Erica, you give me hope! :) Chemane
Ugh... Sewing... Gross... Since I was a theatre minor in college, I had to spend some time in the costume shop-- I had people to teach me and I still never really learned. I was, however, quite good with the surging machine. And sewing on buttons by hand-- that was a project I got a lot.
Jami- it doesn't look to bad, although, minus the pockets that are not centered but ohh well :)
Miss Jessica- I'll try to get a picture
Chemane- I guess I thought you always had to use those packaged patterns and everything had to be perfect. If I can do it, anyone can
Jeni- Sewing buttons is the only skill I can say I'm proficient in when it comes to others and could teach others.
wow, good for you erica. really that is so great.
