Interesting Comments
I enjoy going to work not necessarily for the work part, but talking to people in the mid-west and east coast is always interesting but also talking to my co-workers
I'm always amazed at how different people's background is or where they come from. Me and 3 other nurses were talking about working nights and 2 out of 3 had worked nights most of their 40 year nursing span! Working nights for 40 years! that puts my pathetic year in a different light. I asked how they raised kids when they had to sleep during the day. Both of them responded that that was the easy part. Wow! I can't imagine living on my toddlers 2 hour nap as my night time rest.
We also talked about how long we want to live. 1 of the nurses said one of her aunts had lived to be 100 and how she didn't want to live that long. My thought is I would want to live to be 100 if my dear husband was with me but having to loose him and then start over is to overwhelming...of course there is God's grace but still.. very sad.
I have talked to a gentlemen who had been married over 70 years!!! He and his wife where both in their mid 90's. Now that would be amazing

A wise woman once told me that the secret to a long & happy marriage & life is letting your husband play video games. And often. And on new game consoles where financially feasible...
hmmm... I should have an EXTREMELY LONG life and a VERY HAPPY marriage if that is all it takes.
I'll take that into consideration scoey-d.I haven't reach that level of wisdom yet :)
I love old people and hearing their stories. People like this couple who were married for 70 years. I'm sure they have a plethora of memories to share!! Love it.
Absolutely ,Jen. It's nice to hear how looking back at life can be just as fun as looking forward
if scoey is right, i should live to be 200!!! AND i don't want to live that long so I am taking all games away right now. but as for the happy marriage i would have to agree, tis working pretty good so far.
one of my favorite things in life is to listen to the wisdom that comes with age. i hope i have good wisdom to give if i do make it that long.
I know what you mean about living that long only if you could have your husband with you the whole time. I feel the same way. My grandma is now 94 and my grandpa died 12 years ago. I don't want to go through that.
i was here
that would be pretty sweet to live a long long live with your husband or wife. as for the video game approach, i might be a little jipped. hmm.. anyone selling an xbox360 or a wee I as the germans like to call it. =o)
